  • Using the embed code from Vimeo will not do that as it’s something completely different and the theme probably registers this as an embed code so it ignores it.

The fact that it only does this on Vimeo links is the strangest I’ve seen. Typically something like this occurs on every single icon.

I used my own custom URL shortener on your Vimeo page:

    https://u.idltg.in/michaelbemckeon

Toss that into your Vimeo url. If that works, you can keep that (I’ll leave it activated permanently — though I can’t guarantee my server will have 99% up-time) or use some other URL shortening service to put that link in there.

    It worked! Thanks!!

I’ll use my own URL shortener now.

How’s that for the worst support? ??

Attention user: this plug-in has the BEST support!
(kindly ignore my earlier frustration-driven rant)

    ??

I do apologize for how long it took me to help you on this.

I have the same problem as Michael concerning Vimeo and Youtube links within your plugin, that are leading to my profile at these sites. They both try to open in a lightbox.

I’m using a premium theme from Kriesi.

No, I haven’t any video plugins installed, no videos at my site, and also tried it with disabled plugins without solution.

Is there a workaround within your plugin, to avoid this lightbox effect?

Use a URL shortener. Your theme probably takes every link to YouTube or Vimeo and opens them in a lightbox.

Use bit.ly or something to create a short link to your profiles.
