[Plugin: Social Connect] Twitter Authentication not working. No soluton anywhere. Please help.

    Hello,

    I seem to be having the same problem that many others using Social Connect are having and I haven’t been able to find a forum with a solution and neither has Brent written anything about this.

    I have installed social connect and all the buttons seem to be working okay except the twitter authentication is sending back an error. The Twitter sign in seems to go through but the page after that goes to a 404. Do I have to create a dummy email address for twitter in our admin for this to work? I have enabled read&write option for the twitter auth file an I have also enabled the “Read, Write and Access direct messages” option for twitter application.

    Hi OGP, I just tested it on that page by leaving a comment and it worked fine. Did you figure out the cause to this? If so, would you mind sharing what was wrong. Thanks.

    Hi OGP can u tell me how did u fix the twitter problem i have tried for so long time but can’t fix it.

    I guess there is a plugin conflict between Social Connect and Simple Twitter Connect.
    I just enabled STC Base (not the STC Login extension) and Social Connect: when both are activated, logging in through Social Connect would lead to a callback.php blank popup, without redirecting the main window.

    After having disabled STC Base, I found that Social Connect is able to register and login through Twitter.

    Please, someone, help us to make these crucial plugins work together!
