• when posting an article from my wordpress blog to Facebook via sociable, I typically select and copy the first paragraph and paste that into the text box at the Facebook page. Unfortunately, the final product includes numerous line breaks in incorrect locations. this looks bad and is annoying but even after copying the text, and removing all formatting, the problem persists. I don’t want to stop using Sociable at the dozens of blogs I manage but this can’t continue – please advise.

  • I guess this is the same glitch. When posting an article from a wordpress blog to Facebook via sociable the links work all right but formatting is screwed up – half of spaces between words are gone, it makes that ‘catchy’ first paragraph almost unreadable.

    Blog is in Russian, we use Cyrillic alphabet.

    adaptistration / dissimilis: I’ve checked your blogs and as far as I was able to see, submission to facebook is working fine. Would you please send us more information or instructions to reproduce the problem? Regards.

    Correct, the article will submit but the formatting is messed up, just as dissimilis describes. In particular, it inserts line breaks where they don’t belong.

    In a related problem, submission to Twitter is always a pain becasue the backslash and question marks always break the links. I’ve applied for the API code for the service sociable recommends but I never heard back from them.

    Given the fact that Facebook and Twitter are the two primary resources for social linking, I need to get these two problems resolved or I’ll have to stop using the service. I don’t want to but at this point, I don’t have any other option (and I manage dozens of blogs and wordpress based websites that use sociable).

    @sociable: any suggestions yet?
