    Michael,

    I tried installing your fixed version, but I had to disable all my smugmug plugins, one by one. I found that the one plugin that conflicted with it was “Photographer Connections”. It’s a very essential WP plugin for SM users, but both PC and SMRS use the same authentication procedure. After disabling Photonic (another SM plugin, but it uses a unique API Key,) everything works.

    Re-enabling Photonic works, but PC doesn’t work because both of you utilize phpSmug. What’s unfortunate is that another plugin currently in development “SmugMug for WordPress” also uses phpSmug. Let’s hope the SMfWP doesn’t conflict. Thanks for the plugin!

    If you are using other plugins that are calling the same framework (phpsmug) to access your SmugMug account there will be conflicts.
    I’ll rewrite the phpsmug functions in the next version to avoid any more conflicts.

    Is there a way where the entire site can run only one instance of phpsmug and then all other plugins can use its library? If this is possible, it might stop issues with another plugin as well. Since I’m still learning PHP, this would be good to know. Thanks.

    Yes, it is possible, and ideal. But, if Plugin A changes the code, and Plugin B is using their code, it will break Plugin B. So, to make sure everything runs smoothly plugin authors wrap everything they need into their plugin (except core WP functions).

    The ideal situation is you have a few plugins as possible. Especially ones that are accomplishing the same task. This minimizes conflicts and helps your website run faster.

    I just pushed update 1.05. This fixes and phpsmug conflicts with other plugins using the same framework.

    awesome. I think there might be a conflict with my theme because I can only navigate left, not right, through the buttons. However, the keyboard works just fine. I’m in the process of overhauling my site, so, once it’s done, I’ll definitely give you a heads up on how it’s working.
