[Plugin: Smooth Slider] um, how does it work?

  • can anyone PLEASE explain this to a person who has not been doing this for 20 years? i have set it up the way i wabnt itbut have zero clue how to make it appear. i dont understand codes, i am not a professional designer. apparently there is a code i am supposed to copy and paste into some php code. i have gone to the editor and spent over 2 hours looking for where to enter it and have found nothing! this is CRAZY. can anyone explain in a newb friendly way how to use this slider?

  • I used the shortcode but that is all that shows on the page is the shortcode, no slider at all.

    Hi,

    Step by Step process to embed Smooth Slider,

    1. Upload and Activate the ‘Smooth Slider’ plugin from WordPress plugins dashboard
    2. Add the posts,pages and/or media library images to the slider. You would get ‘Add to Smooth Slider’ checkbox on the edit panel (of post/page/image) after plugin activation.
    3. Go to slider settings -> Change the height and width of the slides section, depending on your theme width. You can change other parameters like colors, borders, image size and image location etc.
    4. Now you can insert the Smooth Slider on your WordPress site using either the template tag or the shortcode or the widget.

    If you want to add the slider inside a page/post content, use the shortcode.
    [smoothslider]

    Template tag is to embed the slider by editing PHP file. You can learn more about the implementation and usage of Smooth Slider on this guide page.
