Plugin slowing down website too much

    Hi Vova,

    I have the Premium version of the website.

    I think I will have to de-activate this plugin now as it increases my website load times a lot and is slowing it right down.

    When the plugin is deactivated my website speeds are fine.

    Have you got any solutions to this?

    On your website it says “Zero affect on your load time | Lightweight Footprint”… but if this is so why is it slowing down my website so much?

    Hi @gsj,

    When using the Premium version we use server side calls to our API in order to pre-load the ratings data to support Rich-Snippets. We are familiar with the slowdowns and doing our best to resolve it ASAP. Apologies for the inconvenience. If you don’t care about Rich-Snippets I can guide you through how to disable them.

    Hi Vova, actually can you show me how to disable Rich-Snippets… ?

    I can’t find any other plugin with your ”user reputation” feature that also integrates with Buddypress, so I am stuck with yours!

    Hi @gsj,

    You make it sounds bad ?? Anyways, simply open the main plugins file – /blog-root/wp-content/plugins/rating-widget/rating-widget.php and search for if (true === $pAddSchema). Now, change it to if (false && true === $pAddSchema) and save the file. Let me know if it has improved your load time.
