[Plugin: Slideshow Gallery] slideshow hanging up / multiple instances

  • I am having 2 issues with the slideshow.
    I am using the slideshow on the home page, and also within blog posts.

    1) The slideshow on the homepage hangs up after the second photo, and does not advance past it. This is a recent problem, I noticed it within the past week (I believe after installing the latest update). It had been working perfectly before that.

    2) The blog landing page, which shows a snippet of the most recent posts, does not show all of the slideshows. Only one shows up (and it happens to be displaying under the wrong post); the rest of the slideshows just show the “loading” graphic, but never load. If I click through to an individual blog post, the slideshows display there correctly, so it leads me to believe this is an issue with displaying multiple slideshows on one page. What can be done about this?

    I can’t directly help you, but the behavior you’re seeing it expected based on the FAQ. The first answer listed indicates that the plugin was designed to only show a single slideshow gallery per page.

    I assume that means significant changes to the code of the plugin to make it do what you’d like it to.

    Thank you for your response. I did see that in the FAQ after I posted. My main concern is with the slideshow not advancing past the second photo.
