    Hi Antonie,

Will drop you the link when live.

Have selected “working” on the latest version of the plugin (1.2.1) – which should be enough?

Am sure if anyone runs into similar issue, they will end up here and get to solution: was a quirky one in any case!

    Thanks again,

    Rob

    All the best,

    Hi
I seem to have quite the same problem as robscott even though i am running 1.2.3.2 and it is about a year after this discussion but the problem seems to be there still. I am running my sample website on my own machine on windows, according to phpinfo() i do have GD enabled i also checked php.ini just to be sure.
i also tried the workaround provided for robscott to change the gallery.php to the code provided by antonie but that didnt work either!
the response i get for checking the sample provided by the plugin is:

    A TimThumb error has occured
    The following error(s) occured:

Could not find the internal image you specified.
    Query String : src=wp-content/plugins/slideshow-gallery/screenshot-1.png&w=500&h=500&q=100&a=t
    TimThumb version : 2.8.10
    “.
    any help is much appreciated!
ps: the plugin works fine except from the image resizing.

I assume that the image does exist?

Are you running a local machine with Windows?
What software do you use, what is your setup?
There could be a permissions problem on accessing those files.

    hi Antonie
    thanx for the prompt reply.
i am running on my own laptop using XAMPP. the files do exist specially the one i mentioned which is the sample file provided with the plugin. I think too that it could be a problem with permissions but as this is the url of the problematic page
    https://localhost:81/wp/wp-content/plugins/slideshow-gallery/vendors/timthumb.php?src=wp-content/plugins/slideshow-gallery/screenshot-1.png&w=500&h=500&q=100&a=t
which is in the same domain as the image i really can not find the problem!
once again thanx for your help.

The problem is specific to TimThumb and XAMPP.
If you run it on an online server, you probably won’t have the problem.

If you Google “TimThumb XAMPP” you come across many people with the exact same problem. Like this: https://code.google.com/p/timthumb/issues/detail?id=130

    @antonie
thank you this is a great help and sorry for troubling you with a problem that was not with your code in the first place! kodus to you for the great plugin and the great support!
i will check and later on leave a comment confirming that it works on online servers:)

I checked the plugin in an online host and it works fine. the problem was indeed with XAMPP and timthumb, not the plugin.
thanx to antonie for his great support.
