• Slickr is a very professional and impressive plug-in. I highly recommend it. It is only plug & Play if you are using the themes/templates programmed in the plug-in, however it is highly customizable by editing the php & css files. May take a lil coding knowledge. I am impressed how cool this plug-in is. I wish there was a lil more documentation on how to edit the gallery thumbnails, but spent a great deal of time tweaking with values and have it damn near perfect. ?? :happy dance:

  • Yeh I agree, its very slick and looks great. One thing that made me stop using it though was that it totally removed my navigation panel on the right of my site rendering the site useless. Once a visitor arrived at the gallery page they were stuck there with no navigation to get out. I too wish there were instructions – for all I know it could be a simple addition or deletion that would fix this. I have no idea though without any instructions.

    does anyone know what this means? It appears in the slickr.php file:

    /* To override, and use your own key/shared secret, uncomment these two lines: */

    /* $mykey = update_option(‘SLICKR_FLICKR_APIKEY’, “8d7595c95deac1c0ef871a38c751991e”); */

    /* $mysecret = update_option(‘SLICKR_FLICKR_SHAREDSECRET’, “b4090c6189ced220”); */

    Where do I get mykey?
    Where do I get mysecret?
    Can I make these up?
    What is the purpose of these?

    https://www.flickr.com/services/api/keys/apply/ – Get your Flickr API/Secret keys here.

    You can’t make it up.

    It can be used to connect your plugins/wp install to Flickr ?? (in a nutshell)

    The only thing i dont like with this plugin is the way we must use. Point a page for the plugin doesnt solve my problem. Is that a way to INSERT the gallery at a page, using code? I really need to do this, using WP CODA at https://www.buffetplanetamagico.com.

    Thans guys…
