Great plugin! I can’t seem to figure out why an implementation of slickr flickr isn’t displaying images. I’ve cleared the RSS cache, setup a flickr api code and ensured the photos are public.

The thumbnails work, but when I click through I receive the flickr error image that states “This image or video is currently unavailable” in multiple languages.

    Here’s a link: https://bit.ly/P5wZKK

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this further? Thank you!

    Hi Bozz,

Thanks for your comments. (and the excellent problem description)

The thumbnails work which means that there are NO issues with RSS caching, public access, etc.

The error is most likely due to your asking for a size of photo that Flickr does not have.

Click on your photo on Flickr and select “View all sizes” from the Actions menu; I suspect the size you specified in the slickr-flickr command does not exist on Flickr.

    For an example, see https://www.slickrflickr.com/support/this-image-or-video-is-currently-unavailable-on-flickr/

    Regards

I appreciate the fast response! You were totally right, that was the problem. I switched to Large and that worked nicely for the Galleria, thank you.

–On another note, and I’m happy to open a new message if more appropriate, the thumbnails w/ lightbox effect doesn’t seem to load the library of photos, so going left or right only loads the same photo. I’ve tried toggling loading the jquery in the footer. I’ve left that setting up on the above link just in case you wanted to check it out.

I like this effect because it seems to be more responsive than Galleria. Thanks for including all of the options, this is a terrific plugin. You rock, Russell!

    Hi Bozz,

You are loading 3 lightboxes: Slickr Flickr default, thickbox and pretty photo.

Since your “canvas” theme comes pre-loaded with PrettyPhoto then select this in Slickr Flickr Admin LightBox settings – this will stop the Slickr Flickr lightbox being loaded.

    Cheers

Hi Russell– I’ve switched to pretty photo and also tried Thickbox, but it appears to not load the next images, just loads the same photo. Is this not possible while using “a gallery of thumnails” option?

BTW, I found the culprit as to why I didn’t have the appropriate flickr size: https://www.flickr.com/help/forum/en-us/72157629593354820/page3/#reply72157631065928440

    Thanks again!

The issue is your theme – you have a few errors.

It is trying to display a Next button but the image is missing.

OK thanks, I’ll check that out. I was using the keyboard to go prev/next, do you think the img errors are preventing the loading of the other photos? Thanks

I sorted out my missing images, still cannot cycle through the array of photos. I’m beginning to think the plugin may not be setup this way,.but please correct me if I’m wrong.

I’m testing with Thickbox and PrettyPhoto and still cannot page through the photos using the keyboard or any icons. Anyway, thanks for solving my initial issue. Take care.

    Bozz,

You are still missing the all important Next button

Status of 404 (Not Found) https://www.portlandbicycletours.com/bike/wp-content/themes/canvas/includes/images/prettyPhoto/default/btnNext.png

The element is defined in https://www.portlandbicycletours.com/bike/wp-content/themes/canvas/includes/css/prettyPhoto.css?ver=3.4.1

    a.pp_next{background:url(../images/prettyPhoto/default/btnNext.png) 10000px 10000px no-repeat;display:block;float:right;height:100%;text-indent:-10000px;width:49%}
