[Plugin: Simple Tags] simple tags using iframe – why?

I’ve been cleaning up a hack attack. The Exploit Scanner returned four files in the simple tags plug in that contain iframe code.

Is there any reason simple tags is using iframes? Or should I presume these are hacker footprints?
