  • I only tested the top navigation for drop-down menus, which can be activated via Simple SideNav Settings page under the Settings section (left hand side) in your WP dashboard.

    You can probably generate vertical drop-downs with the suckerfish CSS generator https://pixopoint.com/suckerfish_css/, I used it to generate the top nav CSS. You can save it as additional CSS file on your site and add a path to it as a custom CSS via the same Simple SideNav Settings page. Just make sure you replace the default #suckerfishnav ID with correct ID’s and classes that are being used in your theme. From what I see in your code, you can try replacing it with #sidebar .SimpleSideNav and it should work.
