I cannot get the google maps to work. I have the API’s and the icon appears in the right place and I can enter the data per the form, get the latitude and longitude, etc. and stuff shows up in the visual screen. This is the one I’ve been fooling with:

    [srpmap lat=”35.9661199″ lng=”-78.934235″]
    my home

3110 Oxford Dr Durham, NC 27707 The abode of Dusty and I [/srpmap]

The corresponding code seems to be in place on the html screen but happens when I preview or publish.

I’ve seen this work on the scottsdale site and it is really pretty impressive.

I’m using latest version of WordPress and Thesis 1.6 theme. The calculations widgets are working fine.

    My site is https://www.SpringtreeTerritory.com

    Thanks.

    Jay,

thanks for the heads up. I just fixed the issue and released version 0.9.6. Please let me know if that works for you.

    Thank you!

    Thank you.

Isn’t a google map supposed to show up with the Yelp listings? This is my test where it didn’t.
    https://springtreeterritory.com/2009/11/20/test-1/

The google map does come up but the info box doesn’t expand to contain all the info…both what I inputed and what was available for the schools.

Isn’t there a way to put pictures in the infoboxes?

Also, where does the Walkscore come in? I can’t find anything other than a place to input an API key.

    Thanks
    Jay

    Max,
The two links in my last forum post were posts on the site that I didn’t really want to make visable. These links are to pages that aren’t in the navigation and contain the same examples.

    Jay,

Map is not included into the Yelp nor Schools shortcodes. Map is a separate widget.

Looks like the jquery tabs library is not loaded in Thesis. I’ll have to make some adjustments and tabs should work for you in the next update.

I’m not sure what you mean by info box doesn’t expand on the google map? If I click on your main marker, the info box pops-up and I can see your office address. All other markers for schools and yelp stuff open up their info boxes as well if I click on them.

Isn’t there a way to put pictures in the infoboxes? – (I assume you’re talking about the map) there are pictures for the items that have them – like the ones from yelp.

I haven’t added walkscore to the WYSIWYG editor yet, but it should be available via shortcode [walkscore] – go to the main SRP settings page – there are shorcodes instructions. Walkscore shortcode requires 2 parameters ws_wsid and ws_address – like this [walkscore ws_wsid=”bluh” ws_address=”123 Main St, Miami, FL”]) – I think Walkscore.com currently ignores the id, so you can just place anything in there.

I’ll try to get all the shortcodes into the WYSIWYG editor by version 1.0.

Thanks a lot for your feedback Jay – we really appreciate it!
Feel free to share your ideas and concerns – we want to make it better ??

I tried the google map in Internet Explorer and the data is inside the infoblock “balloon” as you would expect. On this computer anyway, in Firefox it spills out the bottom and does not use the font that you see in IE. The balloon itself is much smaller than in IE. In fact, it looks like it expands to whatever is needed in IE. I opened one of the grocery stores right near the office pin and it opens with a picture (with a Yelp link on it) That balloon is much bigger than the balloon for the office which doesn’t have a picture. In Firefox all the balloons are about 3 times wider than they are tall.

    Thanks Max.

I had some troubles with InfoWindow styles – couldn’t get them to expand dynamically depending on the amount of the content. Seems like it should do it out of the box without any additional styling… but it was not the case. I got it to work for my sites, but I guess it doesn’t work for everyone the same. I’ll keep playing with it though.
