[Plugin: Simple Local Avatars] Best approach for making avatars available in Media Gallery?

  • My customer is looking for a way to re-use the avatars embedding them in blog posts and other content. Seems like it would be useful to have avatars also appear in Media, although it might start to push the “Simple” part of the plugin.

    What is the recommended way to get the avatars imported into Gallery? Will a general media import plugin work, when it scans the WP uploads directory, has anyone here tested this?
