  • +1 on this, recommending another plugin as the first sentence in describing your own seems a little discouraging

philrasch: As the author of SFC and a contributor to the official plugin, I recommend using the official one if it does what you want, and only using SFC if SFC has some feature that isn’t in the official one. Currently the main thing SFC has which the official one does not is support for native WP comments using FB. Also the photos thing, but that’s pretty beta level anyway.

ade11: Eventually, when the official Facebook plugin reaches feature-parity with SFC, then I will discontinue SFC and let Facebook support their plugin.

    understood!

    many thanks.

    Thanks for your help.

We will try the official one.

It does not appear that the official FB plugin allows users to register and login with their Facebook account?

At present, no, the official plugin does not have login or registration support. They’re working on that for a future version.
