[Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect] Share Button Code

  • I have been searching around trying to figure out what the code/tag I am supposed to use is to get teh FB Share button to appear in my post(s). I found something on the internet somewhere that made me try this:

    <fb:share-button href="https://skimonline.com/2010/07/the-oil-spill-a-gulf-coast-skimboarder’s-perspective/" type="box_count"></fb:share-button>

    But it is producing an error when it displays the number of people who have shared it (?). See example at the bottom of this post:

    So my question: What code/tag should I use to invoke the FB Share button?

    Is this listed somewhere on the web or in the documentation?

    It appears that the error I saw on the share count box only shows up in chrome…? It has two boxes on top of each other with the same number for the share count…

    You have the correct code. Facebook itself is broken. Wait for them to fix it.
