[Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect] Features that require UserID/Fan page ID not working

  • I am able to use the the features of SFC like the “like” and “share” without a problem, but none of the widgets using a fan page ID seem to work. I am currently working on https://www.vibetheater.org/2010 and am trying to add an events and status widgets. What might I have done wrong?

    The events and status widgets use Facebook XFBML to produce their output, so they obey privacy settings. Events and/or statuses must be completely public (visible to everybody) for them to show up.

    Obeying privacy settings makes sense, but I thought fan pages were 100% public? In other words, it makes sense to me that my personal facebook events wouldn’t show up, but it doesn’t make sense that the events from “facebook.com/vibetheater” ( a fan page) don’t appear. Is there something else I am missing?

    I’m running into a similar problem with the Fanbox and the Status stream.

    This is the Fan ID: 178354398863602

    I would assume that I should put that in the Facebook User Profile Number field for the Facebook Status widget.

    Slightly unrelated note – the events box has the event happening a day after it actually happens.
