You got that when you tried to activate the plugin?

It was either the install or the activate.

Tried it again today and it now works, but looks very messy. I would prefer a) smaller avatars and b) an option to exclude inactive contributors.

The plugin is meant to be very simple, thus the lack of options. You can easily change the avatar size if you want (I can point you to where).

How would you intend to gauge inactive contributors?

1) Yes please, point me to where I can change the Gravatar size.

2) On similar widgets you can provide an exclusion list. There is no generic way of identifying them.

On line 56 of the main plugin file you will see this line:
echo get_avatar($author->ID, 40);

Change the “40” to the pixel size you want.

I’m sorry but I chose not to include that option in this widget.
