    Hi Bob,
The best way to do that is to ask your web host to help you set up a Domain-level redirect from blog.mydomain.com to https://www.mydomain.com. That will forward all requests in the fastest way possible. Any web host should be able to do it for you pretty quickly.

    Good luck!

    Hi Scott,

Quick question on this; I am in a similar situation. I have a static HTML site with urls’ at subdomains that are migrating to wordpress.

What do I need to put in Simple 301 to handle these?

    Example:

Right now i have the following:

    https://skiing.alpinezone.com/articles/challenge/2011/

This will in the future be:

    https://alpinezone.com/skiing/challenge/challenge2011/

What is the proper way to handle this?

Also: it will redirect for pages that are not previously WP? in the previous example the first page is static HTML and the second is on wordpress.

PS glad to send a donation your way for any assistance!

I still have this question. I was able to extract out the entire URL structure from the forum database so now I have a two column CSV file where the first column is the existing URL and the second column is the new URL (updated).

The only question I know have is that the first page URL (where it is coming from) is a subdomain, and I’m not sure how to handle.
