• I’m using 2.8.5 and just installed this plugin. It is simple and works perfectly except for one problem.

If the user tries to logout they get a WordPress Failure Notice that says “You are attempting to log out. Please try again.” If they click “Please try again” they then get taken back to the site but are still logged in.

The logging in part works perfectly, but how do they log out and simply get redirected to the home page with the link to log back in??

  • I’m having almost the same problem. After I click the Logout button, nothing appears to change: Sidebar Login still indicates that I’m logged in. If I click the Logout button again, that’s when I get the WP Failure Notice.

Even if I go to the Dashboard and log out there, when I return to my WP site Sidebar Login still shows me logged in.

My problem is now cured. In General Settings I had mistakenly specified a blog address different from the WordPress address. Removing that blog address cured my problem.
