• I realise that Side Content isn’t released for 3.1.1 but I am just trying to add some HTML-formated text that will display in the selected qTranslate language. I cannot achieve this using php code or find any posts from people who have solved the problem. Does anyone know an alternative plugin that enables page-specific text in the side bar?

Thanks, Susan. I just found it for myself!

It seems to me that Side Content is very useful but very poorly documented. I also had to find out for myself that I can format the content with HTML tags.

I am using this to improve the look and content of a CMS site, not a blog, and for a client, not for myself. So I have to explain to the people who will be the editors that they have to set up a specific SC for each new page, drag its widget to the sidebar, scroll down in Page Edit and click on the Side Content header, select the correct box to enter text, remember the language tags and the HTML tags…

    NIGHTMARE!

that does sound like a nightmare! Suppose you’ll have to type up a small user documentation for them to use.
I’m currently doing something for a client too and i’m stuck. I’m using the twentyten theme and using qtranslate to make the blog multi-lingual but my problem is that the “Home” link on the navigation wont change language when i chnage the language for the site.. got everything else working except for that and it’s wrecking my head ??
