  • Do you have other anti-spam plugins? Doubling up security plugins can cause this.

    Maybe another plugin is conflicting.
Look on the Admin – Plugins – menu.
Temporarily Disable (not uninstall) all your other plugins.
Does it work now? If yes, Activate the plugins one by one to determine
which one conflicts. Which plugin was causing it?

Also be aware that there are human spammers that can post regardless.

alorentz, install Akismet plug-in. It’s the first spam remedy.

I forgot to mention that Akismet is compatible with SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam.
I recommend using Akismet and SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam, they complement each other. Make sure to install the Akismet key on the options page.

I am having this same problem. I do not have any other security plugins running.

i have checked manually that it is forcing completion of the captcha code, but i’m still getting the same amount of spam and it does not look like a human spammer – it’s a bunch of randomly generated characters or strings.
