[Plugin: SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam] Not working in XAMPP installation of WordPress

    Can any of you get Si-Captcha to work on a XAMPP installation of WordPress?

    I run the PHP test that comes with Si-Captcha, and it tells me everything is OK. But then I try the actual Captcha test, and the image does not load…in fact it does not load anywhere.

    I checked the PHP error logs as suggested, and there’s nothing there.

    Okay, I realize what went wrong.

    One time, when I was trying to delete the wordpress folder from XAMPP htdocs, windows gave me a “cannot delete” pop-up. I saw some font of SI CAPTCHA was still in use from XAMPP’s “httpd.exe” process. So I used unlocker to break the process.

    It was this action that caused the problem described above.

    The solution is to restart the XAMPP control panel & restart apache/mysql. Then everything will work again.
