[Plugin: Shortcodes Ultimate] Spoiler shortcode (and perhaps also others) not working with theme

  • I’ve narrowed the problem down to the theme. When I switch themes, everything’s fine, but this theme is working well for me, apart from this problem. Right now, spoilers just show up as:

    Spoiler Title
    The text within the spoiler tags

    I am using compatibility mode and I also used the WYSIWYG button to add the shortcode, so I know I didn’t mistype something. I’m very comfortable editing theme files – I just need to know where the problem might lie. Thanks!

    Can you show link and code you are using?

    Uncaught TypeError: Property ‘undefined’ of object #<Object> is not a function – im having this error when i click on it…

    Do you have this error with PHP or in the JS-console?
    What code you’re using for shortcode?

    I was having the same issue and was sad to not see a solution here. i played around with the options (Settings > Shortcodes > Settings) and under “Disable Scripts” i have all checked except for “Disable Init”. There must be a conflict with other plugins (nextgen, JJ NextGen JQuery Slider, quotes collection and some others). disabling plugins didn’t resolve the issue.

    The spoiler would show (was able to set initial open/closed status in shortcode), but when i clicked it would not expand/collapse. So after changing the disable scripts, it worked! I hope this helps…
