• Hi,

I installed a plugin called Ajax Filter Posts.

It uses a shortcode to display content. I inserted the shortocde in the post content, but data is displayed twice on my website – in the correct place (post content) and also in incorrect place (top of website – <head> section of the template).

Can you let me know what might cause this strange behaviour? The plugin is heavily based on jQuery and Ajax and loads scripts using wp_enqueue_script in to the <head> section – but why does it load the content in there too?

I would be grateful for your help.

  • I know that this is an old post but I am experiencing the same problem. If anyone has any kind of advice on how to resolve this issue it would be greatly appreciated if you’d post it in this thread.

You’re running WordPress 3.2? If not, please post your own topic.

    Hi Esmi,

No I’m not, my WordPress installation is version 3.5. I didn’t realise this was only for 3.2, my apologies.

Either way I’ve managed to resolve the issue by not using ‘echo’ in the shortcode but using ‘return’ instead.

    Hi All,

In my case this happening by ‘JetPack‘ plugin.
