[Plugin: Sermon Manager] Player and details on page twice

This was occuring in some themes, but it is fixed in 1.5.1.

Apparently the latest version hasn’t propagated through the WordPress plugin system, but I uploaded it manually and it fixed 2 of the 3 pages. I confirmed it is 1.5.1 in the dashboard. It seems to be duplicating only when the audio player is present. Suggestions?

This looks to be something strange going with your theme. It’s inserting the sermon section at the top of the header. Without looking at the code of your theme, I’d have no idea.

I hear what you’re saying, but how could the theme files be telling it to insert twice? I see the code in the head, and then the same code in the body. How can that be a theme issue instead of a plugin issue? I tried using a css hack to change the visibility or display using the first child selector, but it disables both. Can I zip the theme and send it to you? What can I do to resolve this?

Thanks for the effort, but I decided to try Sermon Browser instead. It worked perfectly right out of the box accomplished everything I had hoped for with no customizing.

Glad you found something to work for you.

Have the same problem with itheme2. The player appears on top of the page as well as in the post. Maybe future releases of this plugin will work with those themes. If not the sermon browser plugin mentioned by jeremycaris seems the only alternative. For me it’s not working right now, but maybe the new release, which should come out in October is compatible. Let’s see which plugin will work first.

We’re experiencing the exact same problem. As far as I can see this issue should not be marked as “Resolved”.

Still occurring. I’m using a variant of twenty ten. Pretty basic.
The thing I like most about sermon managers approach to sermons is that it uses custom post types and taxonomies, thus allowing you to use the wordpress importer to bring all data across instead of having to move your whole database. I’d been hoping someone would make this plugin for a while…
but the double content is a show stopper.

I’ve got good news and bad news. I’ve figured out which plugin is conflicting and causing the double content display. The bad news is it’s JETPACK.
I would install all the pieces of jetpack separately for how good this plugin is when it works, but I’d really appreciate not having to have so many stray plugins.

yikes – i’m really excited to use this plug in instead of blubrry — I’ve installed it on a brand new site and it’s listing the sermon 3 times in the header (before normal header stuff is displayed) and then once in the content

only one of the sermons is actually playable.

hope you can get this fixed — as I’d really like to use it. there are some very cool features.

I had the same issue, and it works correctly if I disable jetpack. Please let me know when/if this gets fixed, because I love jetpack for stats.
