• Whilst running SEO Ultimate, I was attempting to run another plugin, “Markdown for WordPress and bbPress”; when I received the following error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare markdown() in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/markdown-for-wordpress-and-bbpress/markdown.php on line 65

When I tried it the other way around, with markdown active, and trying to activate SEO, I received a similar error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare markdown() in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/seo-ultimate/includes/markdown/markdown.php on line 43

I can only use one or the other, not both at the same time.
From searching the directories of SEO, I found that Markdown is already part of the plugin …which is what the errors are saying.

Why then can I not use Markdown whilst purely running the SEO plugin?

As you can see, I’m running WordPress Locally at the moment, before going server side. It shouldn’t make any difference …but if for whatever reason it is, please tell me. Thank you.

Thanks for the conflict report. This should be fixed in SEO Ultimate version 4.5 and later.

For now… Deactivate SEO Ultimate, Activate the new plugin, then Active SEO Ultimate.
