[Plugin: Section Widget] Do other widgets work?

  • Hello,

    I’ve been testing out Section Widget and I came across a problem (for me) that I dont know if it’s possible to get around.

    If I start using Section Widget and have different things showing up on different pages, how do I add widgets from other plugins? (is it possible?) Say I’d like to have a tag cloud just on the category page or something similar.

  • Hi Steph,

    The first part of your question has been answered several times – we deliberately avoided the “widgets within widget” approach because we find it very difficult to manage (you can use “Tabbed Widget” for that if you REALLY want to).

    HOWEVER, rescue is here ?? You can actually accomplish a lot of things by just using shortcodes. For example, if you need a tag cloud in your section widget, simply install the Template Tag Shortcodes plugin and put “[wp_tag_cloud]” inside your widget!
