• Hi all,

I’ve set up a WordPress blog (www.limavadyhigh.co.uk) and originally used the Google search plugin however now want to use the default one provided by WordPress. Unfortunately when I do a search I’m not presented with any results and just end up at the homepage again. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

    Thanks,

    Chris

  • Hi,

I’m confused because you mention that you want to use the default search with WordPress. Do you mean the “MySQL” plugin?

Can you deactivate and reactivate the MySQL plugin? Perhaps the index did not get built.

    Thanks,

    Justin

Hi Justin. Thanks for your quick reply. I’ve had a look at the Plugins page within my WordPress admin area and can’t seem to find a MySQL plugin. To further explain… As you know WordPress has a default search facility in its themes where visitors can search through website content – blogs, pages etc. Unfortunately on my site the search box is displayed but when one decides to search it returns no results (not even displaying a search results page), users just get a refreshed homepage.

    Chris
