[Plugin: Search and Replace] Unresponsive Site

    I’ve set the plugin to search for
    [singlepic id=1727 w=80 h=92 float=left]
    … in posts.

    and replace with nothing (left the field blank)

    I have 850 posts, each about 500 words on average.
    It’s been running for the last 30 minutes and still on. The site is now unresponsive and so is my server (dedicated), though pings work.

    Is this normal? What can happen if I reboot?
    As you can understand, I’m a little nervous. :S

    Do you search about the database. The important part is, that you create an backup before. Normaly is an search/replace fast, also about this count this data. You can not reboot, you can delete the plugin in plugin folder via ftp or via ssh, than is reset to the version before.
