• Great plugin Stephan; thank you for this!

However, I think I have found a small problem. It seems that when scissors names the full chain of files, the dimensions that get appended to the filename are partially wrong. One dimension will be correct, but the other will not be. I think the naming is still referring to the original uploaded file aspect ratio.

Or, is it by design that the names do not reflect the current dimensions of the cropped files?

  • It is indeed by design becuse I wanted to make sure that cropping and/or resizing does not result in broken images in posts that linked to the original, unmodified image.

Now, while we’re on topic, I think it was a mistake by the WordPress guys to append the image dimensions to the filename in the first place. In my opinion it would make a lot more sense to add the name of the version, i.e. ‘medium’, ‘large’ etc. …

Anyway, I’m glad you like the plugin and hope you can work around this ‘feature’.

    Happy Easter!
    Stephan
