  • Hi Stefhan,

Thanks for the idea.. yes it was on my list to add but a simple array dump of the custom fields was easier at the time. The intention is for it to send to the admin email.. you would never really send that array to the user. I shall look to get the last name hook in for you in the next week. It is my plan to write a regular expression shortcode for the hooks so we can have something like [custom field=”last_name”] or similar. Look out for a new version soon.

    thanks
    Sean

ps: don’t forget to rate the plugin if you like it ??

    Hi Stefhan,

Sorted, check out Version 1.7 I just checked in. I also added a password reminder feature for admin users to use.

    thanks
    Sean

    Sean,

I’d like to put some buddypress and other fields into this welcome email. Is there a way I could prepopulate some shortcodes in functions.php that I could then use?

    Thanks,

    Brian

    Hi Brian,

I would love to help you but am currently on holiday in France until the 2nd of October. It’s a good idea what you are after.. I shall look to add some hooks/api type filters to my plugin to allow code to be added to functions.php to extend the plugin.

My apologies for keeping you waiting. Try using my site to get in touch if you prefer or email me directly (email address on site if you look). https://www.sean-barton.co.uk

    thanks
    Sean

Better late than never I suppose. I haven’t given you any shortcodes but a simple bp_custom_fields hook has been added to the admin email (as an optional addition to the template) and it will print out an associative array of all buddypress fields for that user. Let me know if this wasn’t quite what you wanted. I appreciate it might not be but I had to start somewhere. Been a while since we spoke. Lots happened at the end of last year… busy time etc so apologies for keeping you waiting.

    thanks
    Sean
