[Plugin: s2member to WP Autoresponder Integration Plugin] Great plugin :-)

  • Hi Raj,

    Congratulations on a great plugin! Very powerful given its open source and integrates so tightly with WP and S2 via the S2 Plugin…

    I saw the github link and was going to ask a couple of things…

    1. Have you any plans to edit the rules so that people are automatically subscribed to a newsletter/autoresponder based on their WP level and a dropdown/checkbox field selected in BuddyPress on signup?

    I ask because my site is based around topic centric groups, so folks would want a generic autoresponder and a topic/group centric autoresponder too. I appreciate this can be done via the signup forms and custom fields within the core WP-Autoresponder plugin, but I thought it would be neat if this could be done too, making signup to BuddyPress and the specific autoresponders seamless…

    2. Are you open to other folks contributing to the S2 member plugin? I may be able to help in some capacity, likely with the help of a third party developer… would this appeal to you?

    Integration with the WordPress user system is something that I plan on making in the future. Not as a part of this plugin. It will be in WP Autoresponder Pro.

    Yes, I am open to contributions. Please do fork and make a pull request if you feel you are able to contribute. I can get it into the next upgrade whenever possible.

    Sounds great… any time lines on WP Autoresponder Pro – stats/open tracking, bounce handling, integration with WP user system… I’m sure you’ve got many more ideas…

    I’m not a coder myself, but its good to hear your openness to other’s contributing…

    Effort on WPR pro will start once the free version has been stabilized. This could take a year or so. So it will take a while.
