[Plugin: RSSImport] Fix for headline links without full paths?
-
This is not a problem with the plugin itself but a suggestion to make it even better.
Occasionally a company’s feeds consistently do not include the full path in the links to their articles, which results in getting the 404 error page. I’m wondering if there’s a way to add a plugin shortcode option to add text at the beginning of a path in order to complete it. For example, a feed might have this as a typical path: “/directory/year/month/article.html” whereas I would like to tell RSSImport to append “https://www.companysite.com” to each article link: “https://www.companysite.com/directory/year/month/article.html”
Otherwise, that missing part is substituted with the url of the site which the link is embedded (“https://www.mywpsite.com”) which obviously doesn’t work.
