Looks fine to me? The following line appears in the source for the feed:

<sy:updatePeriod>weekly</sy:updatePeriod>

which is weekly instead of the default hourly.

If you are expecting changes to crawl frequency however, don’t! Very few crawlers actually bother using the sy:updateperiod and sy:updatefrequency, and use their own heuristics instead. In that sense this plugin actually doesn’t do very much :).

My subscribers still get notified in their feed reader within a few hours for every of my new posts. It seems nothing has changed at all after the plugin has been installed and configured.

Like it says in the plugin description, these parameters are just guidelines to crawlers and will not necessarily have any effect on how frequently they check for updates. In my experience, most crawlers ignore it completely.
