[Plugin: Role Scoper] Limited Admin Controls

    Can I use Role Scoper to give a user permission to register new users on a WordPress site, without giving that user access to the other settings usually associated with an admin?

    What you need is to create a custom WordPress role containing just the read capability and the appropriate user editing capabilities. Role Scoper does not currently provide that functionality, and would be overkill if that’s your only need.

    Try Capability Manager or Members.

    I’m using Role Scoper inside its normal scope, as well. Having the ability to assign the user editing capabilities on top of everything else would just make life a little easier. But it isn’t critical for the site.
