Hello. Although I read and tried to apply the plugin to define roles and capabilities to certain users, I can’t understand how the plugins work. So, if anyone can help me I will really apreciate it.

I will explain what I want to do to be clear:

I have 4 users in my site:

    1) Admin
    2) Editor Eng A
    3) Editor Eng B
    4) Editor Esp

I want to just limit the access of editors to certain categories and pages.

    My categories look like this:

    Eng
    – Child category
    — child categories
    – Child category
    etc…

    Esp
    – Child category
    — child categories
    – Child category
    etc…

    ——————————–

    My pages look like this:

    Eng
    – Child page
    — child pages
    – Child page
    etc…

    Esp
    – Child page
    — child pages
    – Child page
    etc…

What I want to do es to allow Editor Eng A and Editor Eng B to only access/edit, add, delete content from Eng categories/pages. If they access to Dashboard I wish that they can’t see Esp categories/pages.

In the same way, I want that Editor Esp only access, edit and see Esp categories/pages.

How can I do that. I really don’t understadn how the plugins work. Please…help!

    Thanks in advance.

p.s: sorry for my bad english.

    The simplest configuration:

    1. Give your users with a WP role of Subsriber (or custom-named WP role that only includes the read capability)

    2. Use Roles > Pages and Roles > Categories to grant each user the desired content-specific editing roles
