Plugin Request: shortcode to check if scheduled post is published

Hello,

I would find very useful to have a plugin that allows me to check within a post/page if a scheduled post/page is published. Indeed, when writing a post, I may need to make reference to a post/page that is scheduled. What I say about this post/page may very well change once it moves from being scheduled to being published.

The plugin would somehow look like this:

[if_published post=”permalink”]
Here is the link to the post:…
[/if_published post=”permalink”]

[if_not_published post=”permalink”]
I will soon post the link to the post.
[/if_not_published_post]

I am really not sure about the syntax, but I’m sure such a plugin could become very useful to many people, and even give them new ideas about their content.
