Sorry, I didn’t see this post before.

It means you should edit the rename-xml-rpc.php and set the $renamed_xml_rpc_filename variable to the new xmlrpc.php file name

Sorry, I still don’t understand the instructions for using this plugin.

My host blocks xmlrpc.php so I wish to change the name of xmlrpc.php to xmlrpc_post.php.

What should the code in this plugin be to achieve that?

    Thanks,

    David

OK on further study I think I understand it. It seems to mean that if you rename xmlrpc.php as xmlrpc2.php then you can use this plugin as it is. Otherwise, you replace just that one term in the third line of code with whatever you rename the file as.

However, it hasn’t solved my problem. I still can’t get Jetpack to connect to my site.

Hi, you can check some possible problems or contact Jetpack support here:

    Hello,

I too have the same problem.

    – I have added the rename-xml-rpc.php to the content/plugins folder.
    – I have also renamed the file xmlrpc.php to rename-xml-rpc.php in the rename-xml-rpc.php file
    – I have downloaded and activated the plugin rename-xml-rpc
    – I have also amended the permissions 644

I still cannot get access remotely using wordpress for android. I see HTTP 405 Method not allowed.

Can you help identify what I am doing wrong?
