    Hi,

After noticing the slow performance of this plugin I decided to deactivate and remove the plugin. After clearing my cache and doing the same in my CDN I still find requests for analytics left in my website.

Why are these not removed once the plugin is removed?

    Kind Regards

  • @csldesign where exactly are you seeing these requests? If you are able to provide us screenshots that would be great.

@csldesign I am checking if you had further questions about the issue or if it has been resolved? If so, send a reply to let me know and I will update your support topic accordingly.

@csldesign just another follow up that we’ve made further improvements to the plugin and particularly worked on the improving the uninstall in 1.1.1. While I was not able to recreate what you experienced, you can try to uninstall with this version to see if the issue is resolved.

Hi @csldesign. Just following up with you in relation to your reported site performance when using Site Kit. With the plugin installed there is minimal impact on performance. Site Kit uses the various Google Product APIs to display data on the back end of your site only, with minimal code inserted into a users site, no different than any other Search Console, Analytics or other product implementation method.

If you are using older versions of the plugin you can remove all traces or Site Kit, including database tables by installing the latest version and then uninstalling.

If you want to share your site URL we can check the issue you are encountering with reported residual Analytics tracking, it may be coming from an alternate plugin or theme setting. And be sure to checkout the latest version of the plugin, which was just released.
