[Plugin: Relevanssi – A Better Search] Showing No Content in Custom Excerpt

  • First of all, awesome plugin. We love it and use it on all of our clients’ websites when they need search functionality. You really did a great job.

    For some reason some of the search results are showing “……” or “…” for the custom excerpt even though the content includes the searched term. I am using the_excerpt to show the snippet and also deactivated all my plugins first to make sure it that wasn’t the issue.

    Any suggestions?

    Are you sure the searched term is in the content, and not in category name, custom field or something like that?

    Does this happen often? Is it systematical, or random?

    It looks like it fixed itself when I moved from localhost to an external server. I don’t know why that would fix it, but it seems alright now. Maybe there was an indexing issue.
