    This is SOOOO weird! Go to https://dawn.hoffmangraphics.com/contact-us/ or any page other than homepage and do a search on Volunteer or almost any other word. It works as expected. NOW, try searching on the word “help” or “DAWN” (no quotes) and watch what happens. At first glance it appears to not give any results and to remove the nav bar. But if you scroll down, what it’s actually doing is pushing the nav bar far down the page and explodes it. How is that possible?! I can’t imagine what’s going on here or how to fix it. It’s so random!

    I’m using Headway Themes v 3.1.1. Since the search works perfectly most of the time I’m pretty sure there’s not a query_posts() call on the search results page.

    I’m hoping it’s a simple setting somehow in the plug-in. I KNOW it’s Relevannsi as the issue disappears if I deactivate it. I’m HAPPY to buy the pro version if this can be fixed as we really like the plug-in.

    Thanks!

    Since the problematic queries don’t show highlighting, it might be related to that. Try disabling highlighting in search results and see if that makes the problem go away.

    I first thought this might be related to search terms being highlighted in the nav menu, but looks like it isn’t.

    I did figure out something. When the search fails, this gets printed as the first thing on the page, even before the !DOCTYPE declaration:

    <script type='text/javascript' src='https://dawn.hoffmangraphics.com/wp-content/plugins/carousel/js/carousel.js?ver=3.3.1'></script>
    <link rel='stylesheet' id='pluginbuddy_carousel-carousel-css'  href='https://dawn.hoffmangraphics.com/wp-content/plugins/carousel/layouts/default/style.css?ver=3.3.1' type='text/css' media='all' />

    I tried removing this extra code and the page works just fine. So, now you just need to figure out why the Carousel plugin is putting the code in the wrong place on those particular search results.

    BRILLIANT! Thank you SO much. All I had to do was exclude the two pages with the carousels on them! YEAH! THANK YOU!

    I can live with this but those same pages still do not show the highlight whereas all my others do. Any thoughts on that?

    Don’t know what’s going on with that, it would require closer debugging to figure that one out.
