[Plugin: Relevanssi – A Better Search] Index keeps deleting itself and showing no results

    Lately when I search for something on my site I get no results, even when I know there should be. When I go to the Relevanssi settings, it says “Documents in the index: 1”. I then build the index (so the documents in the index = 88 or 150 or whatever) and the search works for a while. But then I try a search an hour later, I get no results, and when I go to the Relevanssi settings it says again, “Documents in the index: 1.” What gives?

    Has anyone else had this problem?

    For what it’s worth, I don’t have query_posts() in my search template.

    This is all very helpful. We do use Role Scoper for visibility/privacy issues, so I may do some experimenting with commenting out that section and seeing if restricted pages then show up in search. Alex, stellar detective work.

    THANKS A LOT! No surprise then that I couldn’t reproduce the error.

    I’ll bring this to the attention of the Role-Scoper developer. I’m sure he has a reason for that code, but it can’t work this way.

    Role Scoper 1.3.55 is now available to eliminate the excessive reindexing on post save.

    I also noticed that Role Scoper even the most updated version (1.3.55) for some reason or another breaks my menus when a search is performed. Any idea what might be causing this?? Using most up-to-date versions of both Relevanssi and Role Scoper.

    let me follow up by mentioning that if I use Relevanssi version 2.9.12 the issue with the menus goes away.
