• I just installed Relevanssi and when I try to build the search index I get:

    Relevanssi Search Options

Fatal error: Call to undefined function vt_resize() in /home/devez/public_html/wp-content/themes/theme-salutation/framework/theme-functions/shortcodes.php on line 172

I know it’s a template error but I only get this when I try to build the Relevanssi index. So I was hoping you could help.

With Relevanssi enabled I also get that error when I try to update a page or post.

I contacted the theme creator and got this reply.

“I understand the plugin indexes the shortcode content. It sounds like it’s trying to run the shortcode PHP file without fully executing the theme so a required file is probably missing since it wasn’t loaded. If you can disable the shortcode indexing please try that first. You’ll have to contact the plugin author for more details about how it achieves the indexing because I have no idea how that plugin functions.”

I disabled that option and it now works so that was the problem. Could this be fixed? I have to say this search is fantastic. I’ll be buying the pro version for sure. Thing is two important parts of my site are both loaded via short codes. So it would be much better if I could get them indexed somehow.

I’d roll the ball towards the theme creator… Relevanssi does nothing nonstandard, it simply expands the shortcodes by calling the WordPress default function do_shortcode() – if the shortcodes don’t work with that, then that’s a bit of a problem that’s not going to be restricted to Relevanssi.

Remove shortcode indexing in Relevanssi options. Then it works. This is a fix for all parallellus themes like Mingle and Salutation.
