[Plugin: Relevanssi – A Better Search] Attempt to modify property of non-object Warning

    I’m using version 2.9.3 and when using the Quick Edit in the Posts list I get the following error:

    Warning: Attempt to modify property of non-object in /home/infaith/public_html/wp-content/plugins/relevanssi/relevanssi.php on line 1937.

    I thought at first it could be because the entry is an audio format, but it appears to do it on any kind of post entry.

    Any ideas would be much appreciated.

    Thanks for the bug report. Apparently WordPress passes an array here instead of a proper post object and this trips Relevanssi up. I’ll fix this in the next version, meanwhile you’ll have to disable Relevanssi, avoid quick edit or try an earlier version of Relevanssi (2.8 versions might be fine).

    I have this bug fixed now and I’ll try to get an update out in couple of days or so, it’s just one of the major Finnish holidays this weekend keeping me busy right now.

    This is now fixed in version 2.9.4.

    You’re awesome, thank you so much for the quick reply and fix. Love Relevanssi, it’s a must have plugin for all our WP projects, nicely done sir!

    FYI, I still see this error with WP 3.2.1 and Relevanssi 2.9.5

    @dmgphotography Yes, i can confirm that error as well with WP 3.2.1. Happens in the same manner on the quick edit screen.

    I’ll have to investigate.

    Please do, I experience the same with WP 3.2.1

    Same issue here, getting the same error with WP 3.2.1 and Relevanssi 2.9.5

    I can’t reproduce the error, but I’ll add some more safeguards so the error shouldn’t appear again in 2.9.6.
