[Plugin: Redirection] Trailing Slash Links Not Redirecting/ Broken Links
-
I’m using the most recent version of WordPress and the Redirection plugin.
I set up this link:
https://ingoodcents.com/all-you-magazine-coupons-april-2012
to redirect to this link:
https://ingoodcents.com/resources/coupons/standard/all-you
I’m finding though that this link does not redirect:
https://ingoodcents.com/all-you-magazine-coupons-april-2012/
It goes to a “Page not found” page.
However, my standard pages (not redirections), like
https://ingoodcents.com/couponing-for-dummies
https://ingoodcents.com/couponing-for-dummies/Both work and the trailing / is removed, so it finds the right page.
Do I have to create redirection with and without the trailing / so none of my links break to use the Redirection plugin or is there a quick fix for this problem?
I’m not sure if this makes a difference, but because I moved from blogger 3 years ago and don’t want broken links, my permalinks are set to /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%.html and don’t have a trailing slash.
Thanks so much!
