  • This is still an issue, as of today for me. I’ve gotten around it by continually going in and deleting the redirects after new posts. I’ve tried code from the author’s site and it broke my site. Not sure if there is a typo in the code on their above referenced page post, but I copy and pasted it directly as noted in the post, and got syntax errors that white screened my site until I took the old files from the author site, and then uploaded and updated the plugin through admin.

Yes, it’s a bit annoying, but easy to get around. Just immediately preview the post, go into admin, delete the goofy redirects it causes, and move on. Nice plugin otherwise. I hope the author gets the bugs beat out of it. Yes, I have the latest wordpress update running as well.

    +1 same issue here

We’ve been having the same issue here for about a month or so.

Yup. Just got the same issue with version 2.2.5 of the plugin, and WordPress 3.1.1.

Glad someone else tested it ?? I’m going to keep using Simple 301 Redirects until I hear good things about this one.

I’ve not yet been able to reproduce the problem on any of my servers. If anyone has a test site where it is happening that I can look at then please get in touch with me.

Same issue on multiple blogs. I manually delete the redirect from home to the new post every time. It is frustrating because I cannot schedule posts.

John… I would happily live screenshare w/ you on my blog, when making a post, but your “get in touch” link is dead.

ortonom, thanks for the offer but a screen share isn’t going to help that much – I accept that a problem is happening, but seeing it happen isn’t useful. I would need access to the site to see what settings are being used and if I can recreate the situation myself. As soon as I can recreate then I can fix it.

Could I clone my DB and email it to you, to setup on a test site?

–You could then make a post, which “should” recreate the bug.

    Yes that should work, thanks!

Did you make an update? I made a new post and an auto-redirect to it was not created – in other words, I believe the issue is fixed!

Is this working for people now?
