[Plugin: Recommend to a friend] How to use the php code !??

How am I supposed to use this?
<?php echo recommend_a_friend_link( $permalink, $image_url, $text_link ); ?>It’s not working properly!
I just need to have an image button (125×125) and when someone clicks on it, that nice popup will open.
I tried to use the code above, but there’s no poupup, instead it opens in a new page – don’t want that …
Also, how do I replace the image? I have uploaded a special image – how do I use that !??! (example pls., I am not a coder; thanks!)
Very much hope it will not take 4 month now to get an answer ….
PS: openinviter is a nightmare; I had to hack it big time, and it’s still not working as it should. I think nobody at openinviter gives a d* about wordpress ??
