    Hi jbensous,

    You are running the plugin from a different domain than specified in your Facebook app settings. Check the ‘Site URL’ value (on Facebook Apps). If running from a subdomain, add your domain to the ‘App Domains’ input.

    When I go to my app settings there is no field called “site url”

    Take a look at the screenshots here. You’ll need to click “Website with Facebook login” in order for you to see the Site Url field.

    Hi I’m having trouble connecting to FB. Not sure what’s wrong.
    I entered the app ID and secret given to me by FB after registering the app for my client’s website.The FB user ID has been entered. The API status says connected but when I preview the site I get ‘no recent Facebook status to show’ and ‘did you configure the app properly.’
    What am I doing wrong?

    Email: my email address
    App domains: domain of where my clients’ website is
    Hosting URL:none
    Sandbox: Disabled
    Website with FB login (checked)
    Site URL: same as ‘app domains’ but with the path ‘/testArea’ added to the end

    Hi Lowdandcleer,

    Did you test the access token to see if it worked?

    I ran a quick test myself for the FB page of your client (looked it up), if you use “135967233086744” as the Facebook user ID (in the RFB settings) things should work fine.

    Danny thank you so much! For some reason I had something else as the user ID. You have made my day! One quick question…I’m noticing the content is right against the left side of the box (in other words no padding)…to tweak things like the padding etc…I guess this has to be done in the template settings?
