[Plugin: Quotes Collection] quotation marks over-write text

With the current theme I am using, the quotation marks overlap the text. I understand this is probably a theme problem and not the plugin, however, I really like the theme in all other respects and would like to keep it. Is there a quick workaround I can apply to resolve this?
